The Grey Wives is a publication for women 50+ written by women 50+. Every article you read here is written or edited by someone who is living the questions on the page. Our shampoo testers actually have grey hair. Our menopause writers actually have menopause. Our marriage writer is on year 31 of her own.

Our editorial principles

We write what we'd tell a friend over coffee, not what brands wish we'd say. Three things we will not do, ever:

• Recommend a product we haven't personally tested
• Take payment to change an opinion (we accept commissions on links, never on words)
• Talk down to a reader. Ever. About anything.

How we make money

We earn small commissions when readers buy products we recommend through our affiliate links. That is the whole business model. We don't sell email lists, we don't run pop-up ads, and we don't do sponsored content disguised as editorial. Read our full affiliate disclosure if you want the specifics.

Who we are

A small team of writers, one editor, one designer, and a rotating cast of testers in our reader community. We are based in the UK with correspondents in London and Edinburgh. We're not venture-funded. We're not owned by a media holding company. We just care about the conversations.
